Disney Goes Digital.
Remember paper tickets? If visiting the grandest of theme parks, between rides, hotels, restaurants, your Fanny pack would be full of tickets for each event. Disney decided it was time for the original Fab 5 made their way to the red technology carpet. While working with frog design, MagicBand that transformed the visitor experience in Disney World Orlando began with the question, “How can we help people get through the park gates faster and easier?”
Over time, the design team realized that the transformative opportunity wasn’t simply about waiting lines; it was about overlaying the park experience with a digital layer. The design team reframed the essential question to become “how to execute a global brand” modernizing and giving a bright fresh look. Carefully following a Style guide, executing wireframes and pixel-pefect comps for the Disney design team to execute across all parks. Never too old to make magic pixie dust.
