They say no man is an island
For me, the proverbial
(and sometimes) literal island
have been
a place
of creative incubation
Solitude can
jumpstart an internal redraw
in life
in work
in our relationships
Coming from the depths of a dark sea
in the darkess and light
The paintings represent
a nod to the importance
of getting it out
Clearing the cache of
my own psyche
as well as the collective
Field letters to the future
A nod to the past
Deep cold waters to ancient jungles
Elephants and parrots usually
pop up to say hi
never planned just come through
City lights swapped
for star-lit skies
a nod to the mystery
of being a creative vessel
Watermelon kissed
fused with sunbaked sands
FLYING from deep space
Dark and black specs of vivid blues
Metallic waters
Space
Stars
No matter digital or painting
fine art or commercial,
Simplicity rises
out of the creative weeds

my process is having no process
Opposite to pixel perfection
as a digital artist
each work similar to an
archealogic dig
chipping away piece
by piece of
raw build up off textures
overlaid by colors
the messaging is about
the RISE
Hope
Faith
